Mother's Know Best!

I know this is past Mother's Day but I felt I just had to share how wonderful I think moms are especially my mother as well as my aunts, grandmas, and rest of the family who share that wonderful calling. As I grow up I learn so much more about my own mother and the capacity she has to love, it grows every day! As you all know we are in the process of adopting and I can't believe all the hard work my mother goes through to just see if maybe, that one chance we will be picked. She works so hard even though she knows that we might not get picked to adopt, but she keeps her head up high. I am amazed to see her as well as Lisa and Angie and everyone else who have adopted, work so hard to receive a child in their home! Wow I just want to run through the streets saying I know the most wonderful mothers! My mother means so much to me and especially since she has started to try and adopt she has taught me so many lessons in life! So while these words specifically might not come to comfort, remember mothers out there your children(or nieces, like I) appreciate you way more than you can imagine. Now I know its hard to think that when kids are screaming, teenagers yell, and us kids just don't' listen but I know for a fact how much we kids appreciate mothers! So please, don't forget how wonderful of mothers you are and I for one will try not to treat my mother special only on Mother's Day

Peru

My grandma Miller asked me in an e-mail about my trip to Peru and then Mom and Dad said I should post my reply and tell you all about my future trip!

Here is my e-mail:

Yep! I am going to Peru this sumer for choir! Today in class our travel agent came in so we could ask questions. Now you know I'm not quite an outdoors-y girl but I've been preppin myself for this- which it turns out that Peru won't be AS rural as I thought- but needless to say my friends still make fun of me for being high maintenance ("Brittany I was thinking who is the most high mantenance person in our choir? and you are!") but I just don't think they realize that I'll be ok; I just have to do LOTS of prep! and then I'll be fine... I think some of them think I'm sheltered or something because this is the first time I'll be leaving the country. I hope I haven't given them any bad ideas since I asked dumb questions. (they laughed at me when I asked if I was going to have to cross any wooden rope bridges...What?! We are climbing Machu Piccu!!!! You never know!!!!! I'm afraid of hights!!!!) But it's going to be a fun trip!!

How's the fam? :)

Love you!

Britt

My friends still make fun of me and I think my director thinks I'm weird (he made a comment about "learning all sorts of new things about Brittany" last class). We leave May 20th from Salt Lake (at 5:30 AM!) and get back the 31st. We fly to LA and then to PERU! It will be like 16 hours on a plane which I'm not worried about. I've been watching specials on the Travel Channel about Peru and trying to prep about what kind of food there will be and such. We will go to Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, and Machu Picchu!!! We will sing at a festival, at a University, and even at MASS!!! In a Spanish Catholic Cathedral!!!! Like for real church!! I am UBER excited!

I'll post more later and hopefully include pictures!

Shooting!

So I am not a shooter, well I don't enjoy shooting guns most often. But this weekend I went to West Jordan with some roommates and they talked me into it. I didn't hit anything and I did terrible but I was quite impressed that I actually did it!

Just Getting Started

I know I know I'm(Ashley) was the one who finally set up a Miller blog doesn't it seem like I should be the favorite child. Only kidding I know my parents love us all the same...when we are all acting good. :) Now I am here at college so I don't have many pictures of our family but with much effort I will try and teach my mom how to use it and post pictures! So us Miller family are just getting started but don't you worry we will sometime catch up to all of your savy blogging skills! :)
